Presentation of Annex 

          The Higher Teacher Training School Annex in Guelma was established by virtue of an agreement signed between the University of May 8, 1945 - Guelma and the Assia Djebar Higher Teacher Training School of Constantine on June 4, 2025. This followed ministerial decisions taken within the framework of the state's policy to expand the national network of Higher Teacher Training Schools, in response to the growing needs of the education sector for scientifically and pedagogically qualified human resources, and as part of the development and modernization policy adopted by our country for this sector.

          The Guelma Higher Teacher Training School Annex is responsible for the training and development of future teachers, and for the advancement of education and scientific research.

          During the 2025/2026 academic year, it enrolled 389 students from the Guelma province and neighboring provinces (specifically El Tarf).

          This was based on Ministerial Circular No. 01, dated July 14, 2025, concerning the initial registration and placement of baccalaureate holders. The annex trains teachers in the national education sector in the following areas:

• Arabic Language:

                   - Primary School Teachers (PEP).

                   - Middle School Teachers (PEM).

• English Language: 

                    - Primary School Teachers (PEP).

                    - Middle School Teachers (PEM).

• French Language: 

                      - Primary School Teachers (PEP).

                     - Middle School Teachers (PEM).

• Mathematics:

                       - Middle School Teachers (PEM).

                       - High School Teachers (PES).

          The annex strives to create a distinctive learning environment that ensures high-quality training, through its teaching staff and the dedicated infrastructure of the new 6,000-seat training complex.
